“…I chose the LiteTouch™ Er:YAG because it relies more on mirrors for transferring its laser energy to the clinical theater, rather than fiber optics. Fiber optics are expensive, you have to upgrade them occasionally and you lose around 30-45% of the energy in that fiber optic. Go to the LiteTouch™ laser, it relies on mirrors and with those mirrors you retain a really pure form of laser energy that is consistent and predictable.
I also like the LiteTouch™ for other reasons… One reason I chose this laser is just to get veneers off…I am upgrading some e-max veneers that come into my practice and they are difficult to remove. Just that one factor I started to think about getting an Er:YAG laser so I can get these veneers off. Now that I have this LiteTouch™ Er:YAG laser I can use it for a lot of other things and I am just growing my repertoire of applications with this laser”
“…This is about repairing a cervical margin on an e-max bridge where we see some microleakage and decay. You will see how proficient this laser is…”
