Er: YAG Laser in Handpiece

The LiteTouch™ Er:YAG laser can be used for fast removal of ceramic brackets with no damage to the enamel surface. The debonding of the brackets with the LiteTouch™ laser occurs in a safe way with no impact on intra pulp temperature and it reduces failures of ceramic bracket removal.

The LiteTouch™ Er:YAG  laser is also useful for removing remnant adhesive material in a precise mode from the enamel surface, after the debonding of metal and ceramic orthodontic brackets, without any damage to the enamel surface. Removing the adhesive material with the laser instead of the mechanical drill, avoids vibration therefore eliminates the risk of trauma to the tooth or the pulp.

Furthermore, LiteTouch™ irradiation is recommended as an efficient alternative to acid-etching for enamel surface preparation prior to bracket bonding.
